The division will operate on an individual, gross stroke play format. Each event will feature one closest to the hole, and one long drive challenge. More challenging venues, pin locations and environments will be selected.
The top 3 performers from each location will be invited to compete in a grand finale event to determine the overall champion of the corresponding league. (OPEN Champion & ELITE Champion)
The Order of Merit is a points-based system where each round contributes points to an overall leaderboard. Points are awarded based on your performance in each round, following the Net and gross Stroke Play Formats. The points distribution depends on your finishing position in each round amongst other participants. After each round, points are tallied, and your total points accumulate over the season. Scores and placing will be posted online, and in the Trackman App following each event.
An Order of Merit is a points-based scoring system where each tournament round gives you points that are summed up to form an overall leaderboard (as the FedEx Cup for the PGA, or the Race to Dubai for the DP World Tour).
Based on your score in each round you will be awarded points. Individual round scoring will still follow tournament rules (Stroke, Stroke Net, Stableford, etc.)
The maximum number of points is either determined by default in relation to the amount of players participating or can be manually set by the tournament host. If they are set by default they have the following relation to the amount of players participating:
001 - 100 Players = Winner receives 100 points
101 - 200 Players = Winner receives 200 points
201 - 300 Players = Winner receives 300 points
The rest of the points follow a logarithmic distribution until 1. This logarithmic distribution is calculated for every tenth player. That means that if 14 players are playing in a tournament, the logarithmic distribution will run from a maximum of 100 points for the player in first position, to 1 point for the number 20 (14 is rounded up to the next tenth player being 20 players).
The point distribution is then as follows:
#1 = 100 points
#2 = 77 points
#3 = 64 points
#4 = 54 points
#5 = 47 points
#6 = 41 points
#7 = 36 points
#8 = 31 points
#9 = 27 points
#10 = 24 points
#11 = 21 points
#12 = 18 points
#13 = 15 points
#14 = 13 points
This point distribution is fixed after the first round. If in later rounds more players join the distribution will continue:
#15 = 11 points
#16 = 8 points
#17 = 6 points
#18 = 4 points
#19 = 3 points
#20 = 1 points
Any position after 20th will also receive 1 point.
When two or more players are tied, the leaderboard will automatically use the rules below to determine player position.
1 = Low round net score
2 = Low handicap
3 = Lowest back 9 score (net)
4 = Low score on last 6 holes (net)
5 = Low score on last 3 holes (net)
6 = Low score on last hole (net)
7 = Lowest front 9 score (net)
8 = Low score on holes 4-9 (net)
9 = Low score on holes 7-9 (net)
10 = Low score on hole 9 (net)
11 = The prize is shared
Prizing is based on location wide results per event, and will be awarded at the end of The League after March 3rd, 2025 as follows:
